The background:
Halsall Mechanical & Electrical undertook the M&E design and installation of the Sidney Sussex Building which compromises of 55,855ft2 Laboratory and Office Facility at Chesterford Research Park, Cambridge. The facility is set within a landscaped campus and the building delivers ten fully fitted Lab Suites across the 3 storeys which is divided into two wings. Each suite is designed to support high-growth life science firms, featuring specialized wet laboratory spaces equipped with fume hoods, complemented by modern, open-plan office and write-up areas and 11 Plant Rooms equipped with high specification mechanical & electrical equipment. The Building achieved BREEAM Excellent status focuses on low carbon construction & operational efficiency.
