Ocado Erith

There’s an Ocado just for you

The background:

Halsall was tasked with the design and build of an M&E installation across a multi-level warehouse & 2 storey office block for Ocado’s 536,000ft² Erith Fulfilment Centre, which is said to be the largest automated warehouse for online groceries in the world. The warehouse comprises of a ‘grid system’ with cutting edge automation, alongside robots which are used to collect orders in crates and has the capacity to handle in excess of 200,000 orders per week.

What we say:

“The sheer size and complexity of this multi-level distribution centre proved to be challenging from the initial design stage, installation to completion. The building was designed with 4 transformers, 5 generators and 2 main LV panels, which in turn supplied numerous sub-distribution panels across the warehouse. We are proud to have delivered this project to the client at the highest of standards.”

Tony Perry, Director.
